Weaving was an important trade for colonial women. They utilized wool yarn and linen thread to makes clothes, bed sheets, and other fabrics for use around the home or to sell. George Washington's suit was made of "homespun" fabric like this as a protest against British goods! Try your hand at weaving using yarn from the King Manor collection and a simple cardboard loom. Make something fun to take home, or just get in some practice!
