Celebrate Pohela Boishakh — Bengali New Year 1433 — at King Manor Museum!
Please join us on Saturday, April 4th for a wonderful afternoon of dance, music, poetry, art workshops and cultural storytelling. Featuring a special performance and short dance workshop by CUNY City College’s Bollywood dance team — City Chaahat! (@citychaahat )
We will also be joined by the Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts (@bipa.inc ) hosting family-friendly activities! Bangladeshi Ladies Club will be on-site selling recycled sarees to encourage sustainability.
The creative mind behind Eyeris (@itiseyeris )will have a table set up selling hand worked jewelry.
If you get hungry, Tong Bengali Street Food (@tong_nyc )will have delicious food to buy and enjoy!
Guests are also encouraged to bring their own poetry, stories, and music to share at our open mic.
